On the 8th, a regional-scale oil and gas-rich fault zone was discovered in China’s Tarim Oil Field, with oil reserves exceeding 200 million tons. This indicates the emergence of a new strategic oil and gas replacement area in the interior of Xinjiang’s Tarim Basin.
Well Man Shen 1 in the Tarim Oil Field, located in Shaya County of Aksu Prefecture in Xinjiang, was tested using 10-millimeter nozzles to determine its production capacity; it produced 624 cubic meters of crude oil per day and 371,000 cubic meters of natural gas per day. This represents a significant breakthrough in the exploration for ultra-deep oil and gas resources in the central part of the Tarim Basin, with the discovery of a new large oil and gas field capable of producing hundreds of millions of tons of resources per year.
