On October 15, the fourth section of the washing tower in question was lifted as planned; three crawler cranes with capacities of 100 tons, 250 tons, and 800 tons were used for this task, and the entire process took 1.5 hours. The methanol scrubber of the methanol combined plant was successfully lifted, creating the conditions for the smooth execution of subsequent tasks such as hydrostatic testing and the installation of the insulation layer. The scrubber tower consists of four sections in total, with a weight of 845 tons and a height of 90 meters. It is the tallest and heaviest tower in the purification system, and its main function is to purify the gasified feed gas before delivering it as purified gas suitable for synthesis. It is reported that since the 35KV cables for the Yulin Energy Chemical Plant’s filling and completion project were laid out in full at the end of July, after more than two months of hard work, the cable laying process has progressed smoothly and achieved partial success. As of October 13, the 35KV cable installation work at the utility substation, thermal power substation, sewage treatment substation, and DMTO substation has been successfully completed. More than half of the 35KV cable installation work at the PP3 substation has been finished, with a total of 55,650 meters of cable installed, thus meeting the objectives set for this cable installation project. The completion and improvement project for the first phase of Shaanxi Yanchang China Coal Yulin Energy Chemical Co., Ltd. (Yanchang Jingbian Phase II project) involves an investment of 14.413 billion yuan. Using coal and natural gas as raw materials, this project aims to build an integrated facility capable of producing 1.8 million tons per year of methanol, 600,000 tons per year of methanol-to-olefins products, 400,000 tons per year of polypropylene, and 300,000 tons per year of low-density polyethylene/ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (LDPE/EVA). The project is scheduled to be put into operation in the second half of 2020. Once operational, Yueneng Chemical’s polyolefin production capacity will reach 1.9 million tons per year, making it the largest polyolefin production project in Shaanxi Province at present.
