The hydrogen sulfide concentration in the rich liquid is 2.4; there is 13 tons of steam at the bottom of the tower, the tower pressure is 0.08 MPA. The temperature at the bottom cannot be raised above 120 degrees, while the temperature at the top is quite high at 115 degrees. The hydrogen sulfide concentration in the lean liquid, on the other hand, is as high as 1.6
What load have you designed? Is the hydrogen sulfide level too high?
Test the thermally stable salt and check the color of the lean solution
Does the 1.6 you mentioned refer to total sulfur or hydrogen sulfide?
It seems there’s a problem with the trays in this regeneration tower!
It seems that the rich liquid is overloaded when absorbing hydrogen sulfide; I remember someone on the forum posted documents on the absorption and release of hydrogen sulfide using rich and poor liquids
The previous tray had problems; it would over-pressurize the tower. After repairs, it ended up in this state
First of all, congratulations on getting the calendar! I think the temperature at the bottom of the tower is too low; try raising it to around 125. A temperature below 120 isn’t sufficient for effective hydrogen sulfide decomposition. Your rich liquid amount is only 2.4g, which is very low – it’s practically the same as having none at all. Ours is in the range of 10 to 20. Try raising the bottom temperature.
Try simulating with HYSYS’ acidic gas chemical solvent method
2.4 g at the bottom of the tower and 1.6 g at the top – almost no separation occurs; increase the temperature at the bottom of the tower to see what happens
