The hydrogen sulfide concentration tower for the Guangxi Huayi project undertaken by Tianchen Company has been successfully delivered to the designated location at the project site. Author/Source: Refining & Chemical Engineering News Date: 2020-04-06 Clicks: 6 After being transported by sea barges, four large-scale, oversized tower units, including the hydrogen sulfide concentration tower for the Guangxi Huayi project handled by China National Chemical Engineering Corporation’s Tianchen Company, have arrived safely at Qinzhou Port. Through the concerted efforts of all parties involved, the four oversized tower units were safely and efficiently rolled onto the dock for temporary storage. On the morning of April 1, the first hydrogen sulfide concentration tower was loaded and shipped from the Qinzhou Port terminal. The Guangxi Hua Yi project team of Tianchen Company, in collaboration with the shipping company, organized troubleshooting in advance, coordinated traffic control, and established safeguard measures to ensure a flawless delivery process. Under the careful planning of the project team, this massive structure weighing nearly 300 tons, measuring 90 meters in length and with a tower diameter of almost 4 meters, traveled the 3 kilometers from the dock to the project site and was successfully delivered there. The successful arrival of this tower equipment marks the beginning of the on-site installation work of towers on the critical path of the Huayi project’s purification system, and it represents an important milestone in the project’s progress. Meanwhile, 4 oversized tower units for this project, including the thermal regeneration tower, are also being loaded onto ships. The 2 methanol washing towers (the most critical tower units of this project) are undergoing the final painting steps before shipment. These equipment will arrive at the project site gradually in the middle to late part of this month, laying a solid foundation for the smooth progress of the project.
