On August 27, the groundbreaking ceremony was held for the 40,000-ton per year polyoxymethylene production project of Zhongxin Jianeng Kuangbing New Materials Company. The commencement of this project has explored new models and gained new experience for Kuqa City in revitalizing dormant enterprises, while also opening up avenues for promoting integrated development between the military and local communities as well as extending the energy and chemical industry chain. Polyoxymethylene is one of the three major engineering plastics in the world. It is recognized as a high-end new chemical material and falls under the category of strategic emerging industries; it is widely used in industries such as the automotive sector, electronics, and mechanical equipment. The 40,000-ton per year polyoxymethylene production project of Zhongxin Jianeng Kuangbing New Materials Company is separated from China’s first 10,000-ton class photovoltaic green hydrogen demonstration project by just one wall. By utilizing advanced and mature international processing technologies, this facility converts the carbon dioxide emitted into green methanol in combination with green hydrogen; green methanol is then used as a raw material to produce green formaldehyde. This approach ensures that the raw materials used are green and that the production process is low-carbon, thereby creating a green industrial chain for high-quality polyoxymethylene products and establishing a green polyoxymethylene manufacturing plant. Not only are they representatives of new productive forces, but they are also more competitive in the polyoxymethylene industry in terms of cost, technology, and products. The company Zhongxin Jianeng Kuangbing New Materials, whose annual production capacity for polyoxymethylene amounts to 40,000 tons, is located in the Chemical Industry Park of the Kuche Economic and Technological Development Zone. The factory covers an area of 1,140 mu, with the first phase occupying more than 400 mu. This project is under construction; the main works such as the underground pipeline network have been completed, as well as the construction of the main above-ground structures including the office building, steam room, raw material storage area, intermediate storage area, and employee dormitories. Once the project is completed and operational, it will be able to produce 40,000 tons of polyoxymethylene per year. It is expected to generate revenue of 500 million yuan and profits of 200 million yuan, while creating 240 job opportunities.
