This initiative enabled the establishment of the core manufacturing process for such high-end polyoxymethylene materials, resulting in qualified products whose performance metrics far exceed those of similar products. 　　For a long time, foreign countries have maintained strict control over the production technology for polyoxymethylene. Domestic technologies suffer from issues such as high production costs and poor product quality; high-end grades of this material have had to be imported for a long time, which has constrained the development of this industry. Since 2021, Hualu Company of Sinochem has organized research teams to work on the development of high-end polyoxymethylene products. In collaboration with Sinochem’s Research Institute, it designed and built a pilot plant with a capacity of one thousand tons, successfully overcoming key challenges such as the purification of raw materials and intermediates, issues related to explosive polymer buildup in equipment pipelines during the production process, and difficulties in achieving the desired melt index for the products. 　　It is understood that in the face of numerous experimental setbacks along the way, the project team from China National Chemical Corporation Hualu stayed on site, overcame various difficulties, successfully solved the critical challenges related to polyoxymethylene, and produced qualified products.
