After the 100,000-ton organic silicon production facility came online and started operating, Luxi Chemical has this year partnered with German company BASF to invest 2.58 billion yuan in a new 100,000-ton polyoxymethylene production project; this project has been included in the province’s first batch of key projects in the field of strategic emerging industries ； Dong'e Ejiao has developed Ejiao Date Oral Liquid and Taohua Ji Ejiao Cake products, which have obtained **health food certificates** ； Ruitongli, Baijieyi, and their dry powder-based products have applied for invention patents; the Huanglian Ejiao capsules have completed phase II clinical trials ； The production base for energy-saving and new-energy buses at Zhongtong Bus Company is progressing smoothly. With a total investment of 1.6 billion yuan, the project will, upon completion, enable an annual production capacity of 20,000 new-energy and energy-saving buses. Since 2011, Liaocheng City has carefully managed the operation of its industrial economy in accordance with the principles of acting early, doing things well, and ensuring solid implementation. It has conducted assessments of strategic emerging industries; to date, there are 34 such enterprises in Liaocheng with annual main business revenues of over 50 million yuan. These enterprises are mainly involved in sectors such as new materials, new pharmaceuticals, new energy vehicles, new energy sources, high-end equipment manufacturing, and energy conservation and environmental protection, and they show good development trends.
