On September 29, 2011, Celanese announced that its world-class polyoxymethylene (POM) production plant located in the Höchst industrial park in Germany had officially come online. Seralis’ new polyoxymethylene plant, with a capacity of 140,000 tons per year, will become the largest polyoxymethylene plant in the world. It will strengthen the company’s Ticona high-performance polymers business by enhancing its global operations and advanced technological capabilities. The new production facilities can meet the growing global demand for innovative solutions in specialty polymer products.
