Under normal circumstances, when distillation equipment is first installed with a high-vacuum discharge pump, filters should be installed on both the inlet and outlet pipelines. If vacuum discharge is stopped, the return of medium at atmospheric pressure not only destroys the vacuum in the system but also carries residual rust into the pump chamber, causing the vacuum discharge pump to get stuck. Generally, a filter with a mesh size of 60 to 80 is suitable. It is important to regularly check whether the filter is clogged, and to clean or replace the filter element in a timely manner.
