What material is good for the elastic shock-absorbing ring of a pump coupling?
Rubber, polyurethane, cowhide, nylon. We use rubber and nylon. It still depends on the operating conditions to make a choice.
Yes, they are all non-metallic materials that are neither too hard nor too soft. Materials that are too hard suffer from severe wear, while those that are too soft lack strength. These materials are generally sensitive to ambient temperatures, and their performance in outdoor conditions varies greatly between winter and summer
The coupling is of standard design, and all the accompanying elastic components are standard parts; they must be used together!
Polyurethane, misalignment of the couplings can lead to easy damage; it’s advisable to have extra spare parts on hand
I don’t think polyester-amide is very good; that black, soft rubber version is better
We use rubber, cowhide, and also plastic here.
