Is the exhaust valve of a centrifugal pump opened only once during startup to release air, and then closed after that? Is this exhaust valve located on the pump body, or on the inlet or outlet line? Additionally, why is an exhaust valve installed on the inlet line of the condensate pump used in reforming processes, connected to the condenser?
Exhaust valves are installed at both the inlet and outlet; the one on the pump body is used for backwashing, to drain liquid during maintenance and filter cleaning
