Because the metering pump and the pneumatic diaphragm pump reach their stroke limit with each operation. On the other hand, multi-plunger diaphragm pumps have not reached their limit, just like extreme vacuum pumps.

There should be sound in all of them. What you mean by rhythmic is simply because you’re referring to a single-cylinder engine, where there are two sounds per stroke; whereas in multi-plunger engines, the sounds are more frequent

Is it related to the buffering for import and export? Multi-plunger diaphragm pumps are equipped with buffers at both the inlet and outlet; during normal operation, the sound produced by the closing of the inlet and outlet valves is relatively low. Only during abnormal operation will there be a loud knocking sound.
Pneumatic diaphragm pumps are equipped with check valves, and the sound heard is that of these valves opening and closing; whereas piston diaphragm pumps are driven by a motor, and there is a buffer fluid inside the piston, so no sound is produced
