Single-screw pumps are suitable for transporting media with high viscosity and impurity particles; a standard single-screw pump setup consists of the pump + reducer + motor. Pumps with direct connection are more commonly manufactured in the South. With a direct connection, single-screw pumps operate at higher speeds and thus have higher efficiency; however, in terms of service life, pumps with direct connection are usually equipped with 6-stage or 8-stage motors, giving them rotational speeds of 960 revolutions per minute or 720 revolutions per minute. Pumps equipped with reducers have a relatively low rotation speed. The choice of specific rotation speed depends on the viscosity of the medium being transported; the higher the viscosity, the lower the rotation speed. If you choose two screw pumps with the same diameter and equip them either with direct-drive motors or gearboxes, those equipped with gearboxes will have a lower flow rate but a longer service life, while those with direct-drive motors will have a higher flow rate but a shorter service life. It is recommended to use screw pumps equipped with gearboxes. ,
