Seeking advice: It’s an IS single-stage, single-suction centrifugal pump with 3000 revolutions per minute; the motor and the pump are connected via a spline coupling. Is there any play allowed in the spline washer that is located between them? What is the range?
What is an appropriate radial clearance? I see that many spline keys have gaps
The radial clearance is essentially the alignment data; a radial difference of around 0.15 mm can still be absorbed by the plum blossom washers.
