The factory needs to purchase a new pump. The medium in question is tar containing hydrocarbon-containing slag particles, along with other corrosive substances; the slag content is 10%-15% while the water content is 5-10%. The viscosity of this medium is high, the temperature is around 80 degrees, the outlet pressure is 1.5 MPa, and the flow rate is 15 cubic meters per hour. I would like to ask what type of pump would be suitable for such conditions? We previously used a centrifugal pump, but the outlet pressure was not sufficient; even after replacing it with an open impeller, the problem persisted. Then a single-stage screw pump was used, but perhaps due to the high amount of debris inside, stator wear occurred within less than a week of operation.
