A 2–3 mm hole was drilled in the valve plate of the check valve at the oil pump outlet of one of the catalytic units in our facility, allowing the oil discharged by the main oil pump to flow back into the auxiliary pump through the check valve at the auxiliary pump’s outlet. This ensures that the auxiliary pump is always filled with oil under the same conditions as those in the main pump, keeping it in a ready state and thus ensuring a smooth and rapid pump switching process. As I recall, this type of drilling design was originally part of Siemens’ lubrication system structure, and was later adopted by some domestic companies such as SHENGU.
During normal operation, does your backup pump run in reverse?
