What are the requirements for setting up cofferdams in the pump area? Are there any **relevant standards and specifications?
What does the pump area refer to? Is it the place where pumps are installed collectively? Isn’t there a risk of damage to the motors due to leaks?
Regarding the pumps in the tank area, experts recommend moving them outside the cofferdam, or isolating them with a separate small cofferdam
Aren’t the pump areas in chemical processing plants all located in a centralized area?
The motors are all explosion-proof; as long as there is no leakage that causes a fire, it has no impact on the motors
At the production site, it is known that a small retaining wall needs to be installed around the transfer pump, with a height of around 150 mm – not as tall as those used in the tank storage area. Its purpose is to prevent the uncontrolled release of material in case of pump leakage. I don’t know either if there are any relevant regulations; those who are aware of them please let me know
It seems that the height of the cofferdam is not allowed to exceed 30 CM; as for the tank area, there are fire dikes in place

Fire dikes and cofferdams are two different concepts.
