Large self-priming pump pipeline inspection is insufficient

A new corrosion-resistant self-priming pump was installed. It was filled with water for the first time and it took 3-4 minutes to start the pump before the water can flow out normally (the manufacturer said it is normal and there is an exhaust process). It is normal for the self-priming pump to have an exhaust process. Unless you are using a vacuum water tank. I can’t see the picture and don’t know what the structure of your pump is.

This is a self-priming pump. If you fill the tank for the first time, do you still need to fill it for the second time? The interval is not long.
The inlet pipe should be as short as possible, and the diameter of the pipe should be the same as the diameter of the inlet pipe. It should not become thicker, as thickening will increase the volume of the gas.

The outlet pipeline of the self-priming pump must be able to ensure that the gas can be discharged. If this cannot be guaranteed, an exhaust line must be installed on the outlet pipe. Open it when starting, wait until all liquid comes out, and then close it again.
