If stored for an extended period of time (more than six months), it is necessary to fill the pump body, sealing chamber, and bearing brackets with rust inhibitor. The parts that contain this rust inhibitor (pump body, sealing chamber, bearing brackets) should have the rust inhibitor removed every 6 months and then refilled. To prevent corrosion and rusting of the bearings, the pump should be manually rotated several times after filling it with the rust inhibitor.

So within half a year, don’t try to turn the shaft by hand. There are many customers who act in this way – they are extremely stubborn and don’t follow the instructions; they insist on turning it once a week. In the first two months it’s possible to move the shaft, but later they call saying there’s some scratching. Even after the manufacturer warned against turning the pump by hand, they still persist in doing so, and after half a month the shaft gets completely stuck.
If it remains fixed in one orientation for an extended period, it is necessary to rotate the pump shaft to prevent deformation of the shaft.
