The temperature of the hot oil pump is 270. During operation, excessive radial vibration is observed at the drive end: 6.8 on the horizontal scale and 3.2 on the vertical scale. At the non-drive end, the radial vibration is 3.2 with a horizontal value of 2.8. All bearings have been replaced recently. The rotation speed is 1500. What could be the cause of such high radial vibration? And it’s only the drive side that is large; I’ve checked all the alignment data, and all the frame screws have been inspected with no issues. I’m asking for help from experts
Besides installation issues, are there any traffic problems as well?
I once encountered a situation where the mechanical seal at the drive end of a double-support pump wore out very quickly, while the seal at the non-drive end remained intact. There was also excessive shaft play; subsequent analysis suggested that the reason might have been excessive gaps due to wear of the throat bushing, as well as blockages in the balance tubes.
For hot oil pumps, we use magnetic pumps here, so there is no issue with alignment; however, the motor operates in high-temperature environments and requires timely oil refilling
Hello, generally, radial vibration is high. Based on experience, there are several possible reasons for this: 1. The strength of the equipment’s base or frame is insufficient, too weak; 2. Loose anchor bolts, or an unstable equipment foundation with cracks, and so on
The foundation bolts are not securely fastened or the alignment is poor
Ask the manufacturer what the vibration value was during the water test at the time of production, and compare it with the current value
The drive side experiences significant vibration, and all your installation clearances are correct; check the motor side and the coupling, as well as whether the motor is an original one.
