Control during feeding a filter press with a screw pump

Box filter presses are used for sludge dewatering, and screw pumps are selected as the feed pumps. I have two questions: 1. How can one determine when the dewatering process is complete?； 2. A screw pump is a positive-displacement pump; the pressure increases as more fluid is fed in. Will this lead to overcurrent, and how can it be controlled?
I’m also very curious about the precautions to take when using a screw pump in combination with a filter press
The filter press manufacturers also offered a solution that uses imported pressure control combined with frequency conversion; if one doesn’t want to go through such complexity, how can it be simplified?
When the pressure difference across the filter reaches a certain level, or when the pressure at the outlet of the screw pump exceeds the specified limit, the return valve at the pump outlet is opened and the feed valve of the filter is closed.
In that case, does it require a worker to keep an eye on it constantly?
A pressure switch is installed at the inlet of the filter press. As the filter press operates, the inlet pressure increases with the increase in the thickness of the filter cake. When this pressure triggers the pressure switch, it causes the pump to stop, thereby halting feed delivery.
