This is mainly a problem with installation; if the surface finish of the shaft is damaged, this is the result. If it’s a new pump, I hope it won’t be like that.
Have you considered the amount of movement when changing the seal? How long has this multi-stage pump been in use? For new pumps, replace the rotating and stationary rings with cemented carbide; for old pumps, replace the entire pump. If the balancing device is severely worn and there is excessive play, a new seal will fail after just a few days of use
OP, I have two suggestions: 1. Select a new type of mechanical seal – it’s likely that you haven’t taken into account the issue of leakage; 2. Find out where the problem lies; it’s most likely a pump issue – the Sic isn’t that fragile
