Recently, a customer from a factory in Jinan found WorkCoolHub through search engines and sought immediate assistance. A sudden failure of the screw compressor in that factory had a significant impact on over 100 tons of chemical raw materials, and an urgent solution was needed. Despite the high temperature of 40 degrees Celsius in the factory, the engineers inspected the equipment and found that the bearings of the screw compressor unit were severely worn, with the clearance between them and the shaft exceeding acceptable limits; there was also slight corrosion on the surfaces of the rotor shafts and shaft seal components. The bolts holding the suction end in place had come loose, and the O-ring seals were deformed. Additionally, scaling was detected on the evaporator. Due to severe wear of the main bearings, the process cooling engineer replaced them with new ones, and repaired or replaced the rotor journal, shaft seals, and O-ring seals. Due to fouling on the evaporator, heat transfer in the screw compressor unit was impaired and the cycle pressure increased. To ensure the effectiveness of the cleaning process, engineers placed standard corrosion test pieces in the cleaning tank in order to monitor the degree of corrosion that occurred during cleaning. Thus, the screw compressor in that factory was repaired, the unit resumed normal operation, and the factory was able to avoid losses of millions in chemical raw materials. When the engineer stepped out of the factory, sweating profusely, he was highly praised by the factory’s production manager, and a long-term cooperation agreement was ultimately reached.
