Some serious failures in hydraulic systems often present minor abnormalities in advance; through regular maintenance and inspections, these issues can be detected early, prevention measures can be taken, and the failures can be resolved promptly. ① Before starting the pump, check to ensure that the fuel tank is filled with oil – the oil level should reach the upper limit indicated on the tank. Use a thermometer to measure the oil temperature; if it is below 10 degrees, the system should be operated without load for more than 20 minutes. ② For pump startup and inspections after startup, start the pump by turning it on and off repeatedly several times to raise the oil temperature; only after the hydraulic system operates smoothly should it be brought into normal operation. At the same time, pay attention to the noise of the pump; if the noise is too loud, the cause must be identified and resolved before the pump can operate properly. ③ During the operation of the system, and when it is stable, it is necessary to constantly monitor the oil level, oil temperature, pressure, noise, as well as the performance of the hydraulic cylinders, motors, directional valves, and relief valves. Attention should also be paid to any leaks and vibrations within the entire system. ④ After the system has been in use for a period of time, if abnormalities occur and cannot be resolved through external adjustments, it can be disassembled for repair or component replacement.
