The water ring vacuum pump uses a water ring to drive the pump to rotate. After the pump stops running, does the inlet still need to be filled with water? If water is not filled, will the pump empty out? I’m not sure, please let an expert explain, thank you, extra points
The water cannot be lost. There is a liquid level control. It depends on what is being pumped. Generally, the pumped medium contains water, but it needs to be drained.
What kind of water should be added when the pump is stopped? Anti-rust?

If there is water in the pump chamber, there is no need to add water. If there is no water in the pump body, water must be added. Generally, water needs to be added when used for the first time. When it is stopped and used again, there is usually water in the pump chamber, so there is no need to add water.

Water needs to be added during initial work. In the later stage, the working water may evaporate with the medium. Therefore, water must be replenished based on the actual liquid level in the pump.

The general operation is to stop the water supply valve first, then close the inlet valve, and generally open the drain valve to drain the water out of the pump body to prevent the pump body from being overloaded with water and making it difficult to open the pump next time.
