Depending on the water quality, it is advisable to install a filter to prevent debris from entering the pump chamber and damaging the diaphragm
If there are impurities in the water, it’s best to mention them, as these impurities can cause wear on the sealing balls at the inlet and outlet of the diaphragm pump, or get stuck between the sealing balls and the sealing surfaces, resulting in gaps or air leaks. In such cases, the diaphragm pump will not be able to draw in fluid properly.
The key is still to see if there are many foreign substances such as trash in your groundwater However, I still strongly recommend installing a filter.
