Is the air supply pipe connected incorrectly? Should the inlet of the air supply pipe be connected to the side of the oil reservoir, with the silencer on the opposite side?
There are usually markings; mufflers come with them by default
I felt something was wrong because there was no place to attach the silencer; I was afraid that the connection point for the silencer might end up at the air intake. The normal intake has a connector in place – it’s that metal piece on the left side of the diagram
Connect it according to the instructions in the installation manual!
There are only two openings on it: one for the air supply, and that’s the silencer; the air supply is connected to the slide valve!
I’m ashamed – I’ve used quite a few pneumatic diaphragm valves, yet I had no idea that these devices come with silencers. I’ll go back and look for them carefully.
