Why is a pressure gauge added here?

This pump is equipped with a pressure gauge and a valve at the pump cover (seal chamber). What is the purpose of these?
Monitor and control the pressure of the mechanical seal lubricant :)
Measure the back pressure of the impeller discharge? To prevent axial displacement~~
It should be used to monitor the external flushing fluid or seal oil pressure
This one should be based on the PLAN54 scheme, used for monitoring system stress
Pressure retention: the pressure in the mechanical seal chamber must be higher than that in the medium chamber, so that the medium does not leak out
I wonder if this pump is a pump with a packing seal, and whether the pressure gauge tube serves as a pipe for cooling and flushing the packing.
It should be to monitor the pressure and flow rate of the external flushing fluid or sealing oil
