The pump bearing housing is equipped with a labyrinth seal; it worked properly during the initial operation period. What is the reason for the oil leakage from the seal now?
1. Check whether the oil level is too high (due to an overly high design specification or excessive oil addition). 2. Determine if there is excessive oil splashing, caused by components such as round nut stop washers that come into contact with the oil. 3. Check whether there is a problem with the labyrinth seal itself, which may be causing the oil leakage
Increase the depth and width of the labyrinth groove appropriately!

Check whether there is a problem with the labyrinth seal itself, which could be causing oil leakage. 4. Verify whether the lubricating oil contains water, resulting in emulsification and foaming!
Is the oil return hole blocked or misaligned? Is the axial clearance between the moving and stationary rings of the oil baffle too large, typically 0.5–0.8 mm, or is the oil level too high?
Is it an oil seal for sealing, or a labyrinth seal?
1. Is the oil seal return port blocked by foreign objects? 2. Has the gap between the oil seal and the shaft increased? 3. Has the position of the oil seal return hole changed, no longer at the very bottom?
