I can’t understand why, when transferring fluid with a colleague, both pumps have to be turned on and off at the same time Can’t drain the pump separately?
Sure, it’s possible – operate the pump in reverse according to the requirements of your process
There is no need to turn the pumps on and off simultaneously; after starting the backup pump and ensuring it is working properly, run it for a while before shutting down the main pump.
There are no strict requirements for this; it depends on the process requirements and actual circumstances
On-site operations need to be flexible; understanding the principles allows for the use of various techniques, rather than sticking rigidly to established procedures. Many of the regulations are not formulated very scientifically.
