Rolling bearing clearance basis

Many specifications require a bearing cover, with a gap of 0.1–0.2 mm left between it and the outer ring of the bearing; smaller bearings need a smaller gap, while larger bearings require a larger one. Does anyone among you know if there are any standard guidelines regarding this gap size?
Currently, when we assemble it, we align the small bearing at 0 to 0, leaving a gap of 0.1–0.2 for the large bearing; there are no problems, but I would still like to obtain some relevant information :)
