What noises from bearings indicate a fault? I’ve made quite a few mistakes lately; judging by sound is still something I’m not good at enough at. Does anyone have audio samples?
There are other sounds present while the device is running, making it difficult to determine anything by just listening to the recording
During inspections, use a stethoscope to listen to each area one by one; listen more and practice more – there’s no other way
This really does depend on experience – you need to listen more.
The company is currently working on a equipment inspection system; there are inspection devices available, so you can take a look at them
We have one here that can measure speed, acceleration, and amplitude
Judging based on vibration and temperature rise is more specific and reliable; noise can easily be confused with other sounds, making it difficult to distinguish
The ultrasonic tester used by our company isn’t very effective at the moment
Based on experience, acceleration and velocity better reflect the condition of bearings
