It depends on whether there is a sealing ring or back blades behind the impeller: in the case of a sealing ring, the pressure in the sealing chamber is roughly equal to the inlet pressure plus 1/3 of the head; with back blades, the pressure is slightly higher. In the case of an open sealing chamber (slurry pump), the pressure is even higher
