What is the typical axial clearance at the free end of a single-stage, double-suction horizontal centrifugal pump?
We usually take 0.1~0.2
Gap between the front bearing cover and the outer ring of the bearing?
It doesn’t matter if a larger axial clearance is left at the free end
The free end can be as large as you want; it just needs to be large enough to meet your requirement for shaft play
The medium temperature and bearing clearance also need to be considered. The hot oil pump needs to be larger.
