What are the consequences of installing the intake valve and exhaust valve of a reciprocating vacuum pump in reverse?
It’s impossible to evacuate air, nor is it possible to release air; moreover, there is a risk of pump damage as a consequence
The pump isn’t working properly anymore :L
It is possible that the exit becomes an entrance, and the entrance becomes an exit
For vacuum pump installation, valves are generally only required on the intake side; no valves are needed on the exhaust side.
It shouldn’t be able to take in air; there is no pressure at the outlet
It can work; it’s just air being sent in the reverse direction. For example, instead of pressing the gas out from the container, gas is now pressurized and sent into the container; this could result in an overload current in the vacuum pump, overpressure in the container, the activation of the safety valve, or even more serious accidents.
