The owner’s supervisor recommended a manufacturer of integrated pump stations, but the owner did not want to use such stations; instead, they asked me to prepare a comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of integrated pump stations versus traditional ones in order to persuade the owner’s supervisor. If anyone here is familiar with this area, I would appreciate it if you could share your insights. At the moment, I can only think that traditional pump stations require lower investment, are easier to maintain, and have better durability. However, they take up more space, require a reinforced concrete structure for installation of the pumps, and involve a longer construction time
For the owners, there is less civil work involved, the cost of equipment cannot be estimated, and it’s possible to launder more money. For the provider, the construction is simple. Why not do it? The management is pushing for this product, while the staff members are against it. So how do you resolve this conflict now? Every thing has an opposite.
Prefabricated pump stations have a shorter production cycle and a higher degree of integration; they can be prefabricated in the factory in advance, with only simple piping connections required on-site. As a result, their construction costs are also relatively lower
The quality of domestic manufacturers of prefabricated pump stations varies greatly; some produce better products while others are of much lower quality, and the key factor lies in the composition of the tank body materials
