As shown in the figure, I would like to ask everyone for advice. Thank you. The fluctuations are quite significant; there are no impurities in the medium at the site, there is no filter at the inlet, the pump operates at normal temperatures and all parameters are within normal ranges. The outlet pressure changes little, but the flow rate fluctuates greatly
There is a problem with the connection of the flow meter or signal line
Go to the site to listen for any unusual noises or abnormal vibrations, which can help determine whether the issue lies in the instrumentation control system or in the process itself. If allowed, try restarting the pump.
Is there a problem with the flow meter?
In my opinion, the flow fluctuations in this process flow meter are caused by air in the meter. Check whether there are any fluctuations in the pressure at the pump outlet; if the pressure there is normal, then it must be a problem with the flow meter
There’s a problem with the flow meter; with such a low flow rate, the pipe must be very thin. Look for an issue with the flow meter
The flow rate was relatively stable in the early stage but showed significant fluctuations later on; it is possible that small solid particles are blocking the flow meter, or there may be a problem with the flow meter itself.
Let’s also check the current curve; if that is normal as well, then it’s definitely a problem with the flow meter.
You need to explain the process flow of this pump; when looking at the footage alone, it can be seen that the flow rate is unstable, but it’s difficult to determine the reason for this. Let me introduce the process. Let me analyze it roughly first: 1. Check whether the instrument is functioning properly. 2. Verify if the pump is operating correctly, whether the impeller is damaged or if its operating speed is unstable. 3. Is it caused by valves downstream being closed, which leads to pressure buildup and gas cavitation, or by frequent adjustments to the process valves? 4. Is it automatically adjusted? Is there a malfunction with the automation?
Thank you, it’s working properly again now······ It seems to have been blocked; I can’t figure out exactly what caused it. Thanks
