Major repair of the low-pressure compressor in Yantai’s cryogenic screw compressors.
In the disassembly and assembly of screw chillers, how are the male and female rotors positioned? Can only dial indicators and feeler gauges be used for assembly? Is a specialized, high-quality fitter’s workbench needed? :(
A dial indicator and feeler gauge are needed. It is mainly used to measure the axial play of the male and female rotors. No specialized fitter’s platform is required.
It is essential to ensure the clearance at the intake and exhaust ends; the total clearance for the York 283 model is only a little over 20 units!
