Sleeve pump inlet and outlet pipeline sizes

The inlet and outlet sizes of the sliding vane pump we use are both 4 inches – is that appropriate? Compared to centrifugal pumps, the inlet pipe of a centrifugal pump is one size larger than the outlet pipe. Why don’t sliding vane pumps have similar inlet and outlet pipes as centrifugal pumps? Please give me some advice, teachers! Thank you!
It’s determined by the characteristics of positive displacement pumps and centrifugal pumps.
