When the design pressure of a centrifugal pump is 1 Mpa, can it be said that the pump’s head is 100 m?
It can be understood in this way: it is related to the density of the medium. For water, this value is 100 meters; if the density is lower than that of water, then the head pressure will be greater than 100, and vice versa
The design institute informs you that the design pressure of a pump refers to the design pressure of the pump casing; according to API standards, this pressure must be no less than 4 MPa, and it does not refer to the head of the pump.
