Used on water park pumps, for water park chemical dosing. What causes this mechanical seal to turn yellow? Others say it might be scale
The friction temperature between the stationary and rotating rings is high, and areas of these rings other than their end faces are prone to scaling, which may be caused by corrosion resulting from the addition of chemicals
I need to analyze on my own: what equipment is required? I lack equipment on my end
It’s caused by scaling of the materials! First, the high friction temperature of the mechanical seal causes the material to dehydrate and precipitate; second, there may be particles in the material. It is recommended to use a double-end face seal instead
