The screw pump transports crude oil, and the pipeline pump is equipped with heat tracing. Intermittent vibration occurs during operation; sometimes adjusting the variable frequency drive or the return valve reduces the vibration, while at other times such adjustments have no effect. I’m seeking advice from experts regarding the causes of vibration and the methods to address it.
Check the inlet filter； Check the bearing clearance.
The filter screen is fine, and the bearings have been replaced with new ones, but the problem still persists.
Check the shaft for dynamic balance at its operating speed.
If it’s an old pump, it’s possible that the rotor inside has become loose, which causes irregular vibrations
