Regarding bearing cleaning

This post was last edited by Install 811 on 2021-7-29 at 16:28. Bearings with sealing covers or dust covers are used in oil-lubricated environments – do they need to be taken apart and cleaned? Our usual approach now is to pry open the dust cover, clean it in engine oil, and then use it. But I always feel that the cleaning conditions used on-site are not good; for example, there are impurities in the containers and engine oil, which makes it even easier to damage the bearings. I’m wondering if it can be used directly, and then after operating it for 100 hours in accordance with the maintenance procedures, the oil in the bearing housing can be replaced. I’d like to ask how everyone does it. Thank you
Regarding the maintenance of such bearings, it is best to gradually revise the maintenance plan based on actual usage conditions. As for the maintenance method, it should involve regular oil drainage, wiping the bearing housing, and finally using dough to remove impurities as thoroughly as possible. Oil products also need to be analyzed regularly, or filtered before reuse. For reference.
Are you referring to new bearings? They contain rust-preventing oil. Usually, one should first clean them with gasoline or something similar before using them, and then change the oil after they have been in use for 100 hours
