What is the professional term for the small holes and bolts on a centrifugal pump casing?

Generally, there is a small hole below the inlet of a centrifugal pump, and the pump manufacturers seal it off with bolts at the time of production. In my opinion, this is done to facilitate the inspection and maintenance of the pump; when maintaining the pump, by unlocking these bolts, it is possible to drain the liquid inside the pump casing. Does this indeed serve that purpose? What are the professional names for this small hole and bolt?

It is understood that some organizations refer to this plug as a submarine bolt; I’m not sure where this name comes from, so I’m asking if anyone else uses this term
