Bohai Equipment’s electric pumps contributed to the successful development of Asia’s largest crude oil production platform. Release date: 2024-05-31. On April 22, good news came from the South China Sea: six sets of electric pumps manufactured by Bohai Equipment’s \"Bohai Zhongcheng\" series were successfully installed on a platform operated by CNOOC’s Shenzhen branch, where they have been operating steadily. These pumps played a key role in the successful development of Asia’s largest crude oil production platform, marking the first large-scale use of domestically produced electric pumps in CNOOC’s oil fields in the eastern part of the South China Sea. The platform is located in the Pearl River Delta Basin, about 200 kilometers southwest of Shenzhen. The average water depth in the area where it is situated is around 90 meters. It is the offshore crude oil production platform in Asia with the largest deck area, the heaviest structure weight, the most equipment, and the most comprehensive set of functions.
