The facility has two pumps that use domestically produced paraffin oil as the sealing and flushing fluid. Due to the scarcity of this paraffin oil, it is necessary to minimize the amount of fluid used for flushing. What is the lowest level at which this amount can be reduced? Are there any relevant standards specifying this?
It’s scarce – why use the 32-plan then? Or why use paraffin oil at all? This is related to the shaft diameter, rotational speed, and temperature; the ultimate consumption amount still has to be determined by the manufacturer of the mechanical seal.
