Oil spill at ExxonMobil’s Beaumont refinery in the United States: On August 29, an oil spill occurred at ExxonMobil’s Beaumont refinery in the United States; no injuries were reported. 2 Gas leak at El Paso Airport in the United States: On August 30, a gas leak occurred at El Paso International Airport in the United States, prompting the evacuation of people from the area. 3 Fuel tanker spill on a highway in New York State, USA: On August 31, an accident involving a tractor-trailer on a highway in New York State, USA, resulted in the leakage of 567 liters of fuel. 4 Natural gas leak in northern Whitehouse, USA: On August 31, a natural gas pipeline in a building in the northern part of Whitehouse, USA, burst and leaked, but no injuries were reported. 5 Natural gas leak in Ohio, USA: On September 1, a natural gas tank in Uniontown, Ohio, was damaged as a result of an accident, leading to a gas leak and the evacuation of people in the vicinity as well as the closure of roads. 6 Natural gas leak in San Diego, California: On September 3, a natural gas leak occurred at a villa on Kearny Villa Road in San Diego, California, resulting in the closure of nearby roads. 7 Sodium hydroxide spill in Winnebago County, USA: On September 1, 946 liters of sodium hydroxide spilled from a truck in Winnebago County, USA, resulting in road closures; no injuries were reported in this incident. 8 Fire accident involving a propane truck on Hawaii Island, USA: On September 2, a propane truck on Hawaii Island collided with an SUV, resulting in a leak and fire from the propane truck; the accident caused 1 death. 9 Explosion at a refinery in Kansas, USA On September 4, an explosion occurred at a refinery in Eldorado, Kansas, USA, resulting in 1 death. 10 Fire accident at Korea Petrochemical Corporation: On September 5, a fire broke out at Korea Petrochemical Corporation, resulting in the shutdown of its naphtha cracking unit; no injuries were reported as a result of the incident. 11 Diesel spill in Ohio, USA: On September 5, a significant diesel spill occurred in a garage in Ohio, USA; no injuries were reported as a result of the incident. 12 Natural gas leak in North Carolina, USA: On September 6, a natural gas leak occurred in Asheville County, North Carolina, USA, which led to the closure of the road; no injuries were reported.
