On the morning of April 15, a group of seven people including Feng Jianli, general manager of Shenmu Coal Chemical Energy Company, and Fang Xinjun, financial director of the energy company, Zhang Xianjun, deputy manager of the electrochemical branch, and Wang Lu, deputy director of the production technology department, went to China Chemical Saiding Engineering Co., Ltd. They had technical exchanges with the company's chairman Li Sanle, general manager Zhou Enli, deputy general manager Huang Shuntai and more than a dozen experts in related fields on the process comparison and selection plan of the feasibility study report of the project. The technical staff of Saiding Company conducted a detailed comparison and analysis of the four technical routes for producing synthetic ammonia from blue carbon tail gas, focusing on technical analysis, vertical and horizontal comparisons, and project case comparisons in terms of technical feasibility, main equipment selection, cost consumption, investment estimation, etc. Mr. Feng from the industrial company and Mr. Fang from the energy company respectively put forward perfect suggestions on key units such as temperature swing adsorption process, wide-temperature sulfur-tolerant conversion process, low-temperature methanol washing, cryogenic separation, etc. They also suggested that the feasibility study report should reflect the advantages of energy saving and consumption reduction, and rely on the low-cost steam produced by Lanzhou carbon tail gas as fuel to drive compressors, large water pumps and other rotating equipment to minimize online power consumption. These important views are highly recognized by the designer.
Through discussions and exchanges, the two parties finally unanimously determined the product plan for the annual output of 300,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, 520,000 tons of urea, and the by-product of 100,000 tons of LNG, as well as the process technology route of low-temperature methanol washing, desulfurization and decarbonization + cold box separation of methane and nitrogen. They also determined the plant construction conditions, public works and other practical issues, which provided a solid guarantee for the preparation of the project feasibility study report. Saiding Engineering Co., Ltd. is very professional and in-depth in the preliminary technical investigation and process route comparison of this project. By leveraging their rich engineering design experience accumulated in Lurgi furnace gasification, coke oven gas and submerged arc furnace exhaust gas utilization, they are fully capable of completing the feasibility study design of the project. Saiding Company believes that the low price of raw gas for this project has a cost advantage of more than 600 yuan per ton of liquid ammonia compared with coal head gasification. The project will have strong profitability after it is completed and put into operation. It is reported that the Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group Blue Carbon Circular Economy Industry Chain Upgrading Demonstration Project will build a 5 million tons/year coal quality comprehensive utilization production device, a 300,000 tons/year synthetic ammonia production device, etc., with a total investment of 6.2 billion yuan. After the project is completed, it will become a model project and demonstration project for the blue carbon industry upgrade. The 300,000 tons/year synthetic ammonia and 520,000 tons/year urea project from blue carbon tail gas belongs to the second phase of the company's 5 million tons blue carbon upgrade demonstration project, and is expected to officially start construction next year. This technical exchange will make solid and effective preliminary preparations for project construction and provide sufficient demonstration work for project approval.
What is blue charcoal? Blue charcoal is made by firing high-quality Jura coal blocks produced in the Shenfu Coalfield. It has a massive structure, a particle size generally above 3cm, and a light black color. It has the characteristics of high fixed carbon, high specific resistance, high chemical activity, low ash content, low aluminum, low sulfur, and low phosphorus.
Yulin blue charcoal, named for its blue flame, is a clean and environmentally friendly fuel produced by retorting and pyrolysis of high-quality Jurassic clean coal abundant in Yulin under medium and low temperature conditions. Since then, in order to reduce production costs, local calcium carbide factories and ferrosilicon factories have successively used blue charcoal to replace anthracite and metallurgical coke. This has not only reduced costs and increased efficiency, but also greatly improved product quality. As a result, blue charcoal has been rapidly promoted and applied in the calcium carbide and ferrosilicon industries.
