On April 25, the first trial operation of the zero-emission unit at Yanen Chemical was successfully completed, with mixed salt being produced that met the design specifications. This marked the completion of the entire process for this unit, and it entered the phase of trial operation. It is reported that the designed capacity of the equipment for this project is 500 tons per hour. Since entering the construction phase, all participating units have overcome difficulties such as construction in the production areas, slope stabilization, and tight deadlines. The project team has made scientific arrangements for human resources and materials to ensure that the project is completed to high standards and on schedule. In light of current environmental protection requirements, throughout the entire project construction process, the project team has strengthened process control comprehensively, giving top priority to quality and safety. It ensures that construction work is carried out in a civilized manner in accordance with relevant regulations, thus guaranteeing the steady progress of the project.
The zero-emission system will collect, treat, and recycle the industrial wastewater from the company’s wastewater treatment plant that meets the discharge standards; it has a design capacity of 500 tons per hour. Its purpose is to reduce the consumption of water used in production, enable the reuse of wastewater, and achieve \"zero emissions\" of industrial wastewater. Due to the impact of the pandemic, the final construction work and equipment commissioning for this installation project are carried out under tight deadlines and with heavy workload. The company remained committed to the scheduled commissioning dates, made every effort to advance the project construction, strictly monitored all relevant indicators, overcame various challenges, used speed to combat time constraints, and leveraged enthusiasm to boost production. Through the round-the-clock efforts of all employees, the facility finally entered the trial operation phase.
The Yan’an coal, oil, and gas resources comprehensive utilization project is the largest energy and chemical project invested in by Yanchang Petroleum Group in Yan’an. With a total investment of around 24 billion yuan, the project consists of 10 production units along with the corresponding utility systems and auxiliary facilities. The project is located in the Luo River valley in the southern part of Fuxian County, Shaanxi Province. It uses associated gas from Yanchang Petroleum’s oil fields, refinery light oils, and coal as raw materials to build 10 sets of processing units, including ones for producing 1.8 million tons per year of methanol, 600,000 tons per year of methanol derivatives, 400,000 tons per year of light oil products, 450,000 tons per year of polyethylene, 250,000 tons per year of polypropylene, 200,000 tons per year of butanol, 80,000 tons per year of dipropyl heptanol, and 50,000 tons per year of EPDM rubber, along with supporting auxiliary facilities and off-site infrastructure. The project was fully launched in September 2015 and completed by the end of 2017. In September 2018, the process was established for the device.
