**The National Development and Reform Commission issued a notice on further deepening the market-based reform of the on-grid electricity prices for coal-fired power generation: gradually liberalizing the on-grid electricity prices for all coal-fired power generation. In principle, all electricity generated from coal-fired power plants enters the electricity market, and the grid price is determined through market transactions within a range that fluctuates above and below the benchmark price. The current benchmark price for coal-fired power generation continues to serve as the reference for determining the prices of new energy power generation and similar sources. Expand the range of fluctuations in market transaction electricity prices. The range of fluctuations in market transaction prices for coal-fired power generation is being expanded from the current limit of a maximum increase of 10% and a maximum decrease of 15% to a limit of up to 20% for both increases and decreases; meanwhile, high-energy-consuming enterprises are not subject to the 20% increase limit on their market transaction electricity prices. Spot electricity prices are not subject to the aforementioned range limits.
